  • We highly recommend that you check with your chassis builder for their latest  recommendations as technology changes very frequently.

  • You should check gas pressures in shocks before every race as they sometimes will leak off.

  • Valving numbers or values vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. For example one company's 4 valving is not necessarily the same as another company's.

  • Genesis Shocks with Schrader valve you can adjust the gas pressure. You can run anywhere from 30 psi up to 200 psi always use Nitrogen or dry air that has been run thru Cam Air system.

  • You can run the gas pressure down to 40# in real slick conditions but with Genesis Shocks you really dont need to vary much off the 75# to 85# range unless its rough. Then go up to 100# to 125#.

  • If the shocks compression is a 7 or higher more gas pressure is required use 150# to 200#

  • All Genesis Shocks have Schrader valves so you can adjust the gas pressure. You can run anywhere from 30 psi up to 200 psi always use Nitrogen.

  • Always check the travel on all shocks for rebound extension and compression travel as some cars need a 1" - 3010 or 2" - 3020 shock extension in some applications.

  • Some cars run a shock in front of the left rear to control the motion on acceleration and braking like a G194-0 or G195-0 for Sweeping corner tracks and G196-0 or a G196-2 for tighter corner tracks. And on slick tracks when hunting for more traction some cars use a dummy shock G190. Adjust your gas pressure accordingly any where from 75 psi to 200 psi.

  • Some cars will run a shock in back of the left rear like a G190, G192 or a G193 to gain traction on acceleration.

  • Also available in the G1 series are standard valvings like G175, G176, G193, G194 and G195 and so on in any rebound or compression valving.

* Note on some cars the right front upper control arm will hit the shock or bulb. If more control arm clearance is needed, order your right front shock with a 5350 small diameter bulb.  (G1S7#-# Shock).

* Note on some cars the left rear shock may need additional clearance to clear the upper inner or outer shock mount we currently have a extended top for the shock just tell us to add the 5230 to the shock.

* In some cases you can increase the rebound in the right front shock to help the car turn in and thru the middle of the corner like a G1SO73-6, G1SO73-7, G1SO73-8 or G1SO74-6, G1SO74-7 or G1SO74-8 or even higher rebound. * But in some situations you will get loose and lose traction from the middle of the corner and off so other adjustments will have to be made to get traction back off the corner.

* In some cases you can increase the rebound in the left rear in front of the axle to slow down the movement timing and loosen the car on corner entry.

Adjustable Series Located Here
We highly recommend the use of the G3S7BRD double adjustable shock for the right front.
This shock has a rebound adjustment from a 3 to well over a 12.
And compression adjustment of 3 thru 8.
  • With the G3 Double Adjustable shock use part number G375D for 7  shock and adjust accordingly.
  • With the G3 Double Adjustable shock use part number G395D for 9 shock and adjust accordingly.
  •  With the G3 Double Adjustable shock use part number G3SO75D for 7 small bulb with off set eyering.
